A new home

Today was Penny's second day at her new home here with us. She is such a happy girl, you wouldn't even know she was injured by just looking at her big silly face. She would run and play if she could, but she has been prescribed 3 months of strict crate rest, which is really hard for an exuberant 5 month old pit bull! She came into our lives quite fast, needing medical attention and a foster home. The wonderful people at AFRP (Animal Friends Rescue Project) acted fast, and raised the money for her expensive surgery and other medical needs. We jumped up quickly to volunteer to take her for her fostering time, and now she is home-sweet-home with us, our 4 year old pit-bull Pty, and our 10 year old cat Cosmo. She is so joyful, even though she can hardly move, all she wants to do is lick your face and snuggle. She is going to make some family very happy!
I will be updating the blog with pictures and notes on Penny and her time with us, hoping to catch the eye of a willing and loving family who will adopt her and provide her with the fun and safe and happy home that she deserves.

  1. You're truly wonderful. We have two pit bulls of our own, Leo and Angel. When I found out about Penny it broke my heart. I'm so glad her surgery was a success and she's gonna be fine. God Bless you!!

  3. I'm so excited to learn AFRP was able to raise enough funds for her surgery. I passed around her information to everyone I knew and will also pass this blog along so Penny gets adopted as soon as she's able. Thank you for fostering her, I'm so happy this miracle happened!

  4. We also have a pit bull rescued by AFRP that required orthopedic surgery. We agreed to foster him and were also amazed by his gentle, loving personality and desire to learn and please. We decided to adopt him and after a year and a half are thankful to AFRP that he came into our home and life.
Thank you for fostering Penny and Best Wishes to the lucky person/family that she ends up with.
